Heybike x Hedof

Heybike approached us to create a documentary showcasing their collaboration with Dutch artist Rick Berkelmans (Hedof). The challenge was to capture the authentic creative process while highlighting the synergy between artistic expression and innovative e-bike design.

The approach

We developed a narrative that followed Rick’s creative journey from initial inspiration to final artwork application. By focusing on authentic moments in his natural working environment, we created a story that celebrated both the artistic process and Heybike’s commitment to creative partnerships.

Production

The production took place over one intensive day in Breda, following Rick from his home workspace through scenic cycling routes to his studio. We maintained an intimate, documentary-style approach using carefully selected vintage lenses to create a cinematic yet authentic feel that matched Rick’s artistic vision.

Results

The 2-minute documentary successfully captured the essence of creative collaboration, showcasing both Rick’s artistic process and Heybike’s innovative approach to brand partnerships. The film demonstrated how authentic storytelling can effectively bridge the gap between product promotion and genuine artistic expression.
